Castle Cove

Our client was heavily drawn toward Palm Springs architecture and LA design. This was both her brief and our direction for a new garden. The opportunity excited us as we have always loved the strong forms and structure of architectural planting.

Updating architectural details on the front of the house helped to cement a stronger mid-century vibe. Sandstone flooring flows around the front landing and pathway, helping to tie everything together.

Anchoring the garden with a few key specimens of mature date palms immediately transports you.

The planting palette combines striking, hard-edged foliage with softer specimens, mounding and clumping forms, and a touch of Mediterranean influence.
